 Review from mm, September 2012: Just the way an Adult shop should be

I have visited this store couple of times in Aug and Sep 2012. Great Layout with plenty of well priced items in all areas.

A good selection of DVD's and mags at competitive prices.

The lady who owns store is pleasant and polite. I have even struck up few conversations with fellow customers with no blushes.

This is just the way an Adult shop should be... that is Adult. 

The store is light and airy with plenty of parking space in the car park. Don't be put off that it's in a town centre, as it's actually pretty private and did not feel overlooked.

All round excellent shop..... give it a go.

  News 2009: New Location

Romeo and Juliets has moved its shop to 1A Vineyard Road, Wellington. There is ample parking at the new location.

The previous shops at Trench and Ketley have closed

My notes say 'Easy Five Stars'. A cut above the average store, not least because of its industrial estate location offering discreet entry and easy parking by the door.

I didn't feel this extensive shop was missing anything. There's a vast selection of R18 DVDs from £30.

Also PVC boots, uniforms, Temptations and Leg Avenue lingerie. Magazines (including contact titles for £6), board games, and a Hustler Virtual Girl complimented the substantial display of bondage/fetish/leather goods and toys.

And a friendly manager made for an exceptionally good...no great-shop.

  Reader review, April 2011: 5 out of 5

Torquay Simply Pleasure is in easy reach of the town centre.

Once inside the small store there is lots to see and buy. There are lots of toys and outfits in this store.

3 DVDs for £60 plus 3 free mags can't be bad and any yellow sticker for a fiver with the bundle.

The girls are very helpful and will order anything.

My only moan is that they don't do Digital Playground DVDs but I'm sure they will stock them soon.

Apart from that, Simply Pleasure get five out five.

R18 DVDs are mostly £25 with a few in an offers box at £5 to £15.

A middling store that does what it needs to do.

This retailer impressed on many fronts. Limited space made for a certain amount of clutter, but the overall impression was of cosiness and welcoming. A charming manageress and a cold water machine in the corner for customer use added to the welcome.

Negatives included DVD prices at £35-£45. There are also toys, vibrating plugs, novelties, magazines, bondage cuffs and vibrating nipple clamps.

Daytime TV was on in the background and there were lots of female customers. Not a perfect shop by any means, but one so warm and good-natured it's easy to overlook its minor failings and award it full marks.

  News October 2013: Shop  to feature in TV drama

A film company has been shooting the latest instalment of a German TV franchise in an adult shop in Truro. Mrs Palm sex shop on Little Castle Street will be seen in a feature length TV adaptation of a romantic novel written by the Cornish born author, Rosamunde Pilcher.

The scene will show a lead female character slipping in to the adult shop to buy a lingerie set  and walking out carrying one of the shop's distinctive fuchsia pink bags.

Over 1500 R18 DVD's in stock from every available distributor / wholesaler in the UK. All our DVD's are £25-£30 and videos are £20-£25 with discounts available for multiple buys. We exchange DVDs for £10 within 7 days of purchase or £15 thereafter.

We have weekly special offers and all out staff are trained and knowledgeable with regards to our products. We pride ourselves on being clean, brightly lit and "female" friendly and also carry a large range of gay DVDs.

We also have a film club whereby we give a free DVD to regular customers who have purchased 5 DVD's, this doesn't require any personal information, simply a password specific to that individual customer. This is a loyalty club. we do after all appreciate and reward our regular customers as many would testify. Membership also entitles customers to reserve new releases prior to release date.

We stock every available hardcore magazine in the UK and provide a "reserve your copy" facility if required. Magazine prices range from £4 - £10 but are reduced when 3 are purchased of the same price.

Our stores have our own bespoke leather and bondage range including spreaders, hobbles, cuffs, harness' , whips, paddles, gags, collars etc. We also stock latex wear for both the beginner fetishist to the experienced, carrying a large range of "Honour", "Skin Two" and "Denbar". The entire "Wild Designs" range is also available should you require sexy lingerie or fetish uniforms of any size.

This store stocks over 1000 different toys, creams and lubricants including the "Toy Joy" range as well as designer toys such as "Electrastim", "Phallix" etc. If we don't have a specific toy someone requires, then we will do our best to get it for them.

There is a also free car park opposite the shop for our customers.
