I recently shopped here for an outfit to wear to the Rocky Horror Show. Having decided to dress as Frank-N-Furter, I felt completely at ease walking through the doors into the well lit room. I think I happened to be served by the owner, who was very helpful and had a thorough search for the best value purchases and gave a little package-discount even though there was already a sale on.

I would completely recommend anyone wishing to get something that little different to have a look here. Happy shopping!

The window display was rather higgledy-piggledy but interesting and colourful enough to draw the eye. From the outside it looks huge but it's perhaps only 10 feet wide.

The DVDs ranged from £30 to £40. (2 for £75, 3 for £100). There was also a buy 3 for £70 or 6 for £100 deal on cheaper titles.

As a regular visitor to this store I have to agree with Tony. This shop is great, something for everyone, from outfits to a women’s size 26 to the hardcore DVDs/videos on which they do great deals. As a woman I find the atmosphere non-threatening – they’re staff are friendly and approachable and as a refreshing change, not all male. For the shy women out there, my advice is to go on a Thursday when there are two women behind the counter. There is always some leniency on price – they will try to get you the best for your money, so don’t be afraid to ask for a deal on multiple items. Happy shopping!

There is a really large sex shop in Cardiff called Lovecraft, it's a licensed shop and they sell hardcore videos and magazines, as well as lots of toys and clothing. My self and my husband were not at all embarrassed to go in, it's bright and the staff are friendly, and prices are very reasonable.

Although they have an extensive selection of dvds/vids/mags and toys they are pretty expensive e.g; vids are 35 quid and dvds are fifty...

Just read the review of the shop. They have a huge range of videos and the prices are cheap compared to other shops in the town, myself and my wife bought a dvd for £22.50 Hardcore copy of Deep Throat and a hardcore video by Anabolic for £18.50 they also have a managers special bin  where dvds and videos alike have been reduced as low as £15 each in quantity. We visit this shop frequently and have always been more than happy with what we have bought, on the one occasion a dvd was faulty it was exchanged without question they even offered us the choice of any not just the same title, we are also able to get a £10 credit on returning some films against the next one, the staff are most friendly and courteous and my wife feels happy shopping there alone.

I visited Thongs and Things in Carlisle quite by chance. What a stroke of luck that turned out to be.

There is an excellent choice of fashion wear and fantasy/fetish wear. I was very impressed by the extensive range and realistic prices.

I visited this store today for the first time. I will be going back!

The shop is not large, but is bright and airy and has space for a wide range of toys, games and potions. A couple of walls are covered in DVDs and videos with what looked like a wide range.

The female assistant was very helpful in choosing a DVD that my wife would like, as well as a couple of small  toys.

She was happy to chat about the range and pointed out some bargains, as well as one or two of her favorites that my wife might like to try.

An update from the owners

Nice n Naughty in Chester has doubled in size taking over the shop next door and has over a 1000 titles of Original VHS/DVD's in stock. We believe one of the largest and most up to date shops in the country. Stocking all available R18 titles as they are released. Still as friendly as ever.

We have a wide range of stock available including men’s wear, club wear, latex, leather, PVC, shoes, boots, lingerie, videos, magazines, adult toys and accessories and MUCH MUCH MORE. We now stock a full range of liquid latex, lingerie in larger sizes and Old English style Nylons.  We have all the latest videos and DVD's which currently totals to about 450 in total (maybe a few more)

Our customers consist of a high number of females and couples, who feel comfortable with the presence of a female staff member. The introduction of a female Manager in September 2000 has expanded the female clientele and the large T/V  & T/S clientele.

We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, which generates return business and our approach to customers has proven successful. Nice 'n' Naughty Leisurewear Ltd has a professional approach and our customers are prepared to travel for good customer service.

We have been visiting the shop now for some time and have to say of any shop anywhere Nice N naughty have by far the best customer service anywhere. Our first visit will remain with us for years to come. We were after a vibrator and having walked in and spent sometime looking at the extensive range of available products were at a loss as to what to go for. It was our first visit and a little apprehensive as to what to expect. We were approached by a young lady (Trish) who then spent ages explaining each and every product to myself and Girlfriend. At no point were we pressured into spending hundreds of pounds and we felt we would have been as much thought of and received just as much attention if we had wanted just advice. Since then we have visited this shop many many times and the service has just got better. It’s so far removed from the stereo typical sex shop it has to be visited to be believe.

I recently visited Nice n Naughty in  Chester, and I would like to comment on the shop from a customers point of  view. I took my wife for a day out shopping in Chester last week and we had  checked out the Nice n Naughty website but my wife didn't want to go into a sex shop because the Private one we had been in before was seedy. When we walked past the Nice n Naughty shop it was great to see a nice window display with sexy clothes. My wife decided to stay in the car while I went in to get her a Toy. The staff were so friendly and made me feel relaxed, the girl there explained all the types of toys available., I went out and convinced my  wife to come in as it was nothing like the pushy sales man at private,  although the man in Nice n Naughty is big with a bald head he is a really nice bloke and he showed me the videos while my wife was picking a toy with the girl. The choice of videos was better than the toys they had hundreds. I recommend the shop to anyone and the pubs in Chester aren't bad either.

Fabulous.  So impressed.  I was extremely nervous as I wasn't sure what the shop was going to be like but I can tell you that I am never shopping anywhere else again.  The service is amazing and so friendly.  I asked quietly to one of the girls there if they catered for bi-sexual and tv/ts.  Quietly she anwered back, 'How much time have you got?'   To my amazement I spent over half an hour going through dress sizes and video/dvd titles.  I have never felt so comfortable about my sexuality.  There is no judgement passed and I had a great laugh and girly giggles.  The comment made about the 'Big, Bald guy' a little scary looking but just as friendly as the girls and very much there to look after everyone as he is the girls.  Not that they need looking after.  They are all so on the ball never missing anyone, and always a smile to make you that little bit more comfortable.

Videos /dvd's are a little more expensive than Nice 'n' Naughty just up the street, but Private have a much better selection of non R18. The guy behind the counter was friendly but unobtrusive.

This massive superstore is split into two departments.

This first department is Cocktails, which has an excellent range of sexy lingerie, costumes, PVC, latex and hosiery in a variety of styles ranging from sizes 8-26. This department also has a huge selection of naughty novelties, gifts, games and hen and stag night products

Pulse is where the shopping adventure really begins! The sex toys department is huge with literally thousands of toys from every corner of the globe with many items available to touch in the 'switch on and try before you buy' display area. This store also has an exclusive range of erotic furniture.

The store has a separate film department, which is DVD heaven with over 3,000 XXX DVDS. The DVDs are very competitively priced and Pulse & Cocktails offers an excellent exchange system on all films. There is also an excellent selection of XXX books and magazines that are unsealed and very competitively priced.

If you are after the ultimate sex shop adventure then the Chesterfield store is the one for you. This is an absolutely amazing store and can only be described as an erotic theme park; many customers browse for over an hour and still only see a small amount of the thrilling products on offer.

This store is situated in Chesterfield town centre, on New Beetwell Street between the Police Station and the main post office building across from the Wetherspoons pub.

Large Free Private Car Park.

This store has two car parks - one at the front of the building on New Beetwell Street and a more discreet car park and additional entrance at the rear, which can be accessed from Park Lane opposite the bridal shop at the side of Park Lane Furnishers.

This Private is an attractively presented one, with tidy brown and white woodwork and crisp-looking signage. The entrance hall is also nice, whith colourful posters.

A good displays of R18 DVDS were mostly £25 and 3 for 2 and 8 for £100 offers clearly shown. Some amateur titles were available for VHS were £5. A fine toy selection was well illuminated.

Over all a very solid store, with only a change of a couple of carpet tiles keeping it from four stars.

Looked rather utilitarian with austere black boarded windows against stark white walls. The busiest shop I'd been into on the day had a chatty manager.

Adding more sparkle were colourful signs drawing

Easy to find, close to Three Bridges railway station. The easiest local parking is in the car park belonging to Blockbuster and a carpet shop, just across Hazelwick Avenue.

The shop itself is clean (not at all the sleazy pit that I'd feared!), quite large, well lit and apparently well-stocked. It's divided into two 'rooms'. The first contains a selection of R18 videos/DVDs (£30 each). The second has a large display of toys (prices seem generally to be slightly higher than for mail order over the net, as I'd have expected), lingerie, fetish and bondage wear, and a rack of magazines.

The lady staffing the shop when I visited was quite heavily tattooed and pierced, which I found a bit off-putting. However, there was no pressure to buy, and she was friendly and extremely helpful when asked. I'll be happy to go there again.
