Not sure if they're still going but they're lacking when it comes to paying their suppliers. They owed us money and we had to make a trip down and only got so much back in goods and I know of a couple more wholesalers they never paid so make sure you warn anyone in the trade to avoid them.

The shop is nicely tucked away, and is accessed via an alley, and the shop is on the first floor, up a steep fire escape.

Inside, the walls are almost bare; there is very little stock, and the DVD's are priced at £40, rising to £60 for new releases.

The guy on site was too eager to sell, and  though there wasn't much to browse through, everything I picked up had to be commented on. I tried to do a deal with some DVD's I had with me, but he was offering hardly anything off as a swap.

My advice is to travel elsewhere for your porn! You'll save money and get a much wider choice.

Nice 'n' Naughty are celebrating the licensing of their only previously unlicensed shop last Friday 17th November.

The Bangor store opened 2 years ago having been refused a license. Nice 'n' Naughty then reapplied last year and were again refused. However, persistence paid off as on the 3rd attempt they were surprisingly granted a full sex shop license and are now able to supply R18 films to Bangor customers.

The shop is of a moderate size and nicely presented. A good range of DVD's and videos (yes, somebody is still selling them!) plus a wide variety of toys, novelties and adult mags. Helpful staff a plus as well. Well worth a visit.

Associated with Dirty-David.com, Club L'Amour, London Fetish Fair & other established names. Comprehensive stock of Sex Toys, PVC, Leather, BDSM, Lingerie, Fantasy, etc. Club like atmosphere, Transport and tickets for many events. No R18s in store.

My main object was to visit the cinema but whilst waiting for the woman behind the counter to serve me I browsed around the shop. I found a vast selection of video's and dvd's which were priced individually or grouped at three for 100.00 pounds, which seemed a little expensive compared to internet prices, but it does avoid the embarrassment of having delivered to your home, the range would cater for most peoples tastes.

The shop had a range of toys which was not huge, I found the stock to be mostly video's and dvds. Where this establishment excels itself is the staff, the woman behind the counter was pleasant and helpful, she pointed out where the entrances to each of the two cinema screens were and where the toilets were situated and that refreshments were available. Upon leaving a gentleman was behind the counter and he said goodbye and have a safe journey.

All in all a very friendly establishment.

Even before its recent refurbishment making the shop at least 4 times as big, it was well worth a visit for all your sexual needs and more. The staff would order you stuff that they didn't have in and they nearly always had items in.

Since it's recent refurb, however, their stock has become more widespread with new items arriving every day. The staff knew their regulars and would show the latest arrivals they knew we would enjoy. Their array of vibrators and anal toys was vast, along with their dvds and videos.

The staff are great, they try out all the items and will let u try the open vibrators that are behind the counter before you buy. They make you feel welcome and follow our own belief that sex is completely natural and as a woman feel at ease going in their on my own.

This has to be one of the finest most eloquent sex shops in England. The staff were incredibly friendly, extremely knowledgeable and were there to help when prompted. None of that horrible ... forced buying approach... thankfully there seems to be a lot less of that now.....

Here they had an incredible array of DVD's, .. all the latest titles, clearly marked with an excellent section for all to see. They had a fantastic approach to the display of all their stock. British, Lesbian, Fetish... you name it they've got it! Latest titles of Ben Dover too.... They had inviting signs for details of special offers... and very special offers were available on multiple buys.. very , very competitive with the rest of the country... I am a frequent traveller so I know my PORN!

They had a fantastic display of Magazines here too..... the best I've seen by far!! A great section for toys... not too overbearing... there were plenty of couples here shopping which was great to see!

Finally there was nice gay section with plenty of T/S and sissy paraphrenalia... A very welcome and fresh approach I must say!!!

All in All a fantastic shop with great offers and very realistic prices and very competitive too!

And the manager said that if anyone comes in and mention the review on Melon Farmers...there's a free DVD in it... subject to availability...

... I will certainly be back.....

I know this review section is supposed to be about shops. How about a shop, a cinema, preview booths, a striptease (four times daily), Oh! yes! I forgot...a private lapdance... No kidding!

As far as I know this place is a one-off! This 'shop' is simply a 'one-stop' sex central

The sex shop alone is worth a visit. They must have 2000 titles available. A great range of toys and clothing too... there were a few ladies in there and couples. As well the usual mix of guys like myself.

It has a 100 seat cinema... playing many of the latest releases. Special preview booths are there too... and I've only ever seen these in Amsterdam. These were great. You can check out a movie before you buy it. The striptease was free, as it was in with the cost of the admittance into the cinema.. About £10 I think. Not sure about the private dance, but this was definitely available.

The staff were very helpful and polite and asked if their help were needed, which it wasn't as they'd already done such a good display of categorizing their movies.

As I reached to pay for my DVD's... My eye was taken to a fantastic area for all sorts of sexual enhancers... too many to mention here.. But I'm sure they'll be needed in a few years.

A one-stop sex centre in the middle of the country a stone's throw away from New Street Station... A wonderful idea in a great location... well worth a visit... How much was that lapdance again?

Shop is quite small but with a good range of films – just a token amount of other stuff (clothes / toys etc).

Only problem is the prices - £35 per DVD. I understand the cost of the licence is £9000 but London is only a train ride away and at £20 per film you would only need to buy a few to pay for a train ticket….

Shop looks a little drab from the outside but inside it is well laid out with a reasonable range of films grouped according to category. Doesn’t stock
much in the way of toys etc. I wanted to buy a couple of films but £35 each . I asked  about reduced prices such a 2 for £50 and was told no but pointed to a rack of films on offer for £20 each – unfortunately nothing took my fancy although they were all OK films (if a little old).

Staff were friendly and helpful despite not agreeing to a multi-buy deal!

DVDs start at £10 each, without a case. They have 3 films on each disc and are good value for money. Being a first timer to this particular shop I was given a freebie which he admitted was rubbish !! BUT it was free so who's complaining???

Good range of toys and hundreds of magazines. Only complaint.... we couldn't look at them first !! Defo be going back as I live locally. BTW My friend and I are female, so its nice to get an opinion from both sides of the coin!!

Saints & Sinners has to be one of the nicest, least seedy adult shops I've visited. The store is clean and bright... unless of course you decide to take a trip to the dungeon... no it's not that bad! A really nicely fitted out basement serves as a fantastic S&M show room, while the main shop is very open and well lit (unlike some shops!). 

My girlfriend and I felt happy going in as a couple & we've even been back individually, and always felt welcome! Think Ann Summers with less purple, more light and less commercial!

Over 1500 R18 DVDs in stock from every available distributor/wholesaler in the UK. All our DVDs are £25-£30 and videos are £20-£25 with discounts available for multiple buys. We exchange DVDs for £10 within 7 days of purchase or £15 thereafter.

We have weekly special offers and all out staff are trained and knowledgeable with regards to our products. We pride ourselves on being clean, brightly lit and "female" friendly and also carry a large range of gay DVDs.

We also have a film club whereby we give a free DVD to regular customers who have purchased 5 DVDs, this doesn't require any personal information, simply a password specific to that individual customer. This store stocks over 1000 different toys, creams and lubricants including the "Toy Joy" range as well as designer toys such as "Electrastim", "Phallix" etc. If we don't have a specific toy someone requires, then we will do our best to get it for them.

The landlord pleaded guilty to knowingly permitting premises to be used as a sex shop without a sex shop licence, and was ordered to pay £4,000.

  Review

This was my first time in a sex shop so I wasn't sure what to expect. I bought a sex toy and 2 videos. They had a good selection of toys at reasonable prices.

However when I went to purchase the video's one of the guys (there were 3 or 4 stood in the shop..all possibly connected with the shop) said "oh, I'll get you two better ones than that".. He went in to the back and come back with 2 unmarked tapes. Video's cost me 100 for them both. They wasn't the best video's either. 1hr on each. This shop is unlicensed (as I found out later) and as all the elements of a sleazy establishment.

In the June issue of ETO, their Mystery Shopper was in Bolton, visiting the town’s adult stores, visiting 6 stores in the town.

Out of the 6 stores under review, the Nice’n’Naughty branch was the only store awarded the maximum 5 star, As good as it gets in any retail sector rating for its store.

The review went on to say: Inside, the shop has an excellent selection of R18 DVD’s; Male and female staff added a pleasant air as I admired magazines and a great toy wall, all to the strings of some gentle calming music. The space was utilised wonderfully, with a central isle holding bondage bits, lingerie and Kinky Heals. Another bell from the door told me I was no longer shopping alone, and a busy shop is a good shop.

Philip Price, Area Manager for the branch, said that it was a testament to the dedication from the company’s staff and the commitment they give to their customers that keep them market leaders in the adult retail industry.

Nipped in there yesterday, thinking Valentines day, and me being in serious trouble as I'd not got anything for her yet; and how surprised was I!

First by the range of toys, DVDs and Lingerie, but also by how comfortable the place felt! The guy behind the counter was really friendly, and seemed to know what he was talking about!

They had a great range of Rampant Rabbits, which should keep anyone's wife happy, including mine! He took me through their different functions, and I ended up with an all singing all dancing version that should keep her happy for hours!

Then it was on to something to wear, and ended up with a rather slinky set from Wild Designs!

Will definitely be in there again, and may even treat us to a DVD, will take the wife next time as well, as I'm sure she'll fell as relaxed in there as I did!

I went in there with my boyfriend about a year ago to make a purchase and expected to feel very intimidated being female, but I felt the opposite, I was accepted like any other customer, with just one guy behind the counter, who was most helpful, we weren't rushed or pressured, the shop is only small but with a great choice of toys and DVDs which we looked at as well as mags, books and bondage gear.

I felt comfortable and wouldn't mind going in without my other half if I wanted.

Our purchase was wrapped in brown paper for discretion and we left feeling comfy.

it is a licenced shop and I would recommend it to all who wish to browse and purchase.

I have just had the opportunity to visit the Harmony shop again and would say I agree with most of what the owners had to say. The shop has been fully redesigned and is a much more pleasant place to  shop (although the outside is unchanged - can't do much about this really  thanks to the restrictive laws regarding what is allowed to be on show outside the shops). I felt comfortable and welcome in the shop, and the bloke on duty was friendly and quite happy to chat. DVD prices are still a little higher than (say) London prices, but when I explained I had some to exchange I was offered a very good deal (I spent more than I'd intended because of this, so it worked to their advantage!)

A bookshop with a porn magazine section discreetly located at the back, the porn mags can be exchanged the same way as their books - so long as they are in "good condition" of course.

They also stock a few reasonably priced sex toys and and adult dvd's

It's a friendly enough shop that doesn't attract to many weirdo's. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit the place, but for a small shop it is well stocked on porn mags - and they can be had very cheap if you don't mind buying "pre-owned".

I visited what used to be Clonezone on St James' Street and it is now Nice 'n' Naughty.

I was greeted by a really nice girl (think she was the naughty one LOL). Something that was a surprise in the shop, as normally when I nip in to a gay store, you normally get ignored by the staff!

It had some really nice bits, and seemed to cater for us gay boys and girls really well. I ended up getting a couple of dvds on a multi buy offer, and to my surprise was actually given some customer service!

They had a suggestion box on the counter, and the boy and girl there were really sweet and helpful.

So going to wish the new guys n gals there a lot of luck for the future, nice to see a shop that looks after its customers and willing to get them what they want in a shop.

Externally it lacks some of the polish of the competition. Blinds in the window reminded me of my dentist's surgery'. Dark carpet tiles don't help to brighten the place up, but at least everything was clean and well laid out. Stock levels looked good too. Lots of choice and some good prices helped make up for this busy shops aesthetic failings

Combining the best of the boutique style decor with a licence to sell real porn, it was the last and best shop I visited in Brighton. Split into three distinct sections, a lot has been done with relatively limited space.

The main space featured fetish clothing and the third room was the BDSM and bondage equipment area.

There were no magazines nor VHS tapes. There was however a display of fiction and non-fiction books

DVDs on  most subjects could be found, with fetish titles particularly well represented. £30 each, £50 for 2, £70 for 3 and  £100 for 5.

A pervy paradise and this remarkable retailers gets a remarkable score. Full marks.

Situated just a few doors up from the existing Private shop near the station, Taboo at number 2 Surrey Street is a new experience in adult shopping. The shop is split into 3 sections the 1st section is our office and novelty section with body jewellery some lingerie, lubes, poppers and games etc anything really for a hen or stag party.

The main section then goes into sex toys and more lingerie, we have separate sections for leather, pvc and latex, I would say we probably have one of the largest stock of latex clothing and accessories. We specialise in bondage and s&m equipment and stock a huge range of cuffs, gags, hoods, slings, electroplay equipment, rope, chain and all things fetish. We stock shoes, boots, wigs and we do stock the larger sizes for Tv, crossdressers, and Ts, we are a pangendered shop and myself and my staff are in scene people with a wealth of knowledge about our products.

The rear of the shop is our DVD lounge we have a huge range of DVD and VHS films we do still cater for VHS but the range of DVD now is becoming our predominant seller. I estimate that we could have in excess of 1000 titles in stock, some of our customers have stated that we have a better range of films than the large shops in Soho. We do offer an exchange on films purchased from ourselves which our customers like, this also keeps us on our toes with the ordering of new titles, meaning that whenever customers walk in there are always new and interesting titles to chose from. We have viewing facilities in our DVD lounge and as we are licensed all our titles are R18 certificate.

We carry a large range of specialist magazines and as an independent shop buy products from all over the world. I try to bring our customers new and interesting products that you may not always find at other shops, we are continuing to increase the body jewellery section as my staff have good knowledge of body piercing and all it entails. We are now stocking a range of high quality corsets and Basques all made in the UK with a made to order service.

As a company we manufacture and install dungeon equipment, fit out fetish clubs and can transfer an idea in somebody's head into reality as one off and bespoke is our speciality. You will find our shop clean and bright, welcoming and warm, with a friendly smile from my staff.

This shop would be ok if the personnel didn't change every five minutes. Buying adult material is much more comfortable when you have at least some kind of familiarity with the staff. Unfortunately as soon as you get to know a member of staff here, they are moved or fired and replaced by someone who doesn't know you are a regular, good customer and is therefore only interested in palming you off with something they have rather than trying to obtain something you want.

This is a shame, since the store looks quite nice since being re-vamped, but for my money nothing beats that personal touch between long-time manager and loyal, regular customer.

They have a large selection of hardcore mags, my favourites Private, Triple x, Pirate etc, come in at £7.95 each or 4 for £20 and p&p is free in the UK. They always have the latest titles and delivery only takes 1-2 days.

Their web-site could do with updating as it only shows a fraction of their stock.

This was our 1st visit ever to a sex shop my wife and I knew what we wanted but the price was £55-00 compared with around £20 to 25 on line etc. As we were about to leave we were asked did they not have what we wanted we said they did but the price was over the top and we were going to Ann Summers in Bolton were it was £24.99 immediately without question he matched the price so we bought.

However although the shop was pleasant and the guy helpful I doubt we will be going back as there prices seem too high. I do check prices on the web before purchase but going to private web pages I can find no details of goods or prices. So be warned it is likely that prices are hugely inflated.

I found this shop the other day, and Wow, its got to be the best sex shop in Suffolk.

It's got everything you could want, great selection of R18 DVD's from £19.99-£34.99.

OK it's not a huge shop, but I have never seen so many different make of vibrators in one shop. He has everything in there, and the prices are the best I have ever seen.

The guy how runs it was very helpful and had a good way with customers. My partner felt very relaxed in there, and he can tell you everything you will need to know about the toys.

I would go back time and time again, so if you are in the area its a must if you enjoy sex shops!
