Both of these are good channels to watch.

But the live call system does not work. I have phoned many times and had to listen to a long introduction. Only after this can you make your selection. In every case I have been told the girl on screen is on a call...and you can see that is not true. It seems that this side of the service is just one big con to get you to stay on the phone and run up a massive cost at £1.50 a minute. And I have complained using a text message. Waste of time...the respondent did not even know what I was talking about.

Well, Babestar is back, or at least a very poor imitation of it has returned.

So what's the same ? Well the set looks the same. A couple of the presenters are the same.

So what's changed then ? Well, for starters there was no nudity whatsoever. None. Not even a hint of nipple. I wonder how long this channel will remain in business with this policy?

It also appear that the presenters' mothers have spoken to their previously foul-mouthed daughters and also washed their potty-mouths out with soap. No more swearing or suggestive comments this time round. Instead, we had "call the girls guys, we're single" repeated again and again.

It raises the question, if Ofcom have not been in touch with this channel, then why has the behaviour of the presenters changed so drastically? The only answer I can think of is that the presenters have seen the light and are now practising to become Nuns.

Nothing new on this set of channels. Start with Climax 1. The theme for the night is newcomers. so they split the night in to one hour segments under a title like "all the fresh you want" (or whatever), the next hour is "more fresh than you can handle" etc., etc. This goes on all night with a ten minute break every hour. The next day, this channel shuffles all the programmes forward an hour and puts the first hour at the end? Still with me?
Now multiply this by three and you get the whole three channel package. All the programmes are repeats of stuff previously shown on the Adult channel. They have become slightly stronger of late but my goodness, only slightly.

As well as English, German and French (all with English audio) football coverage and some fairly recent Hollywood fare the Albanian package now has a dedicated 24 hour hardcore porn channel.

Channel X shows the classier side of porn with some tasteful output from Private and some US producers. Channel X previously showed softcore Playboy stuff throughout the day. If your lucky you may not see the same film in 24 hours. If you like Private then your in luck as they show a wide range from their massive output including stuff like Tanya Hyde.

Around 10:45pm (UK time) until 4am each night Channel X is joined by two other channels (DigitAlb 7 and 8) showing similar stuff. Films have English audio and no subtitles on the hardcore output.

With the bonus of mainstream films and football this is a pretty good package.

Do not watch this channel.

It’s advertised as European but in fact all it shows is a series of old, boring very soft core American films.

Why do they do this? Firstly, it’s a complete fraud. But also, by advertising the channel as “European”, they must think that this will attract viewers who specifically don’t want to watch American rubbish. Then why don’t they show European? I find it completely baffling.

The only channel that does do risque is Erotica.sat.com, where you do see a lot more than you would on brit tv, sometimes you can be lucky and see, which was on this afternoon, Sexview in the altogether, which is good but doesn't last forever.

InXtc had a Saturday Night Live Gang Bang show (which I didn’t see, so can’t comment on) but this ceased some time ago, only to be replaced by the completely softcore male/female Le Grand live show – which was a waste of time. I had contacted them a number of times, and received quick replies, but when I started to complain about the Le Grand live show, their replies eventually dried up, and they have ignored further contact! This show was stopped after only three weeks, so I guess I wasn’t the only person to complain. Also, I noticed that once a few critical posts turned up on their forum, about the Le Grand live show, they pulled the forum from their site – coincidence?

However, though their solo female live shows went through a brief softcore (no penetration) period, they are now hardcore, with vaginal penetration by fingers and dildos, and they also show some female/female shows with similar strength content, plus some explicit cunnilingus. Not great, but better than nothing, and some (though definitely not all!!!) of the models are quite attractive – anyone interested can see them on the FTA softcore channel Eurotic TV. By the way, they didn’t seem to be getting many calls to the shows on InXtc, and have dropped the telephone numbers, so the shows are live performances, rather than phone in shows.

May 19th 2005: Thanks to DJ and the members of the INXTC Forum

InXtc TV, from the Austrian hardcore package available on Eurobird and Hotbird have stopped transmitting hardcore live shows. Instead the channel now shows the softcore live shows from its sister channel, the free to air eUrotic TV.

No one has said that the film content of the channel has gone softcore so it doesn't seem to be a regulation problem. Perhaps they can no longer afford two sets of cast and production team to support two different shows and are consolidating resources.

The website is still advertising hardcore live shows so the channel could surely be done for false advertising.

I have emailed the management and will let you know if I find any explanation.

I noticed about a week ago that the picture quality of the hardcore films screened on these two channels had got much worse. In the past, they were both showing recordings nightly recorded the previous day from Private Spice (Hot Bird.)

The recordings on Tu Tele Local now look like they are being played from a VHS tape recorded in Long Play. The recordings on La Tele Local have severe colour-bleeding problems and extremely low-level audio.

I realised last night that they are now showing recordings of the Redlight TV channels instead of Private Spice. I can't say which channel(s) exactly, as the logo is blanked out in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

So far I have seen the same films / recordings repeat over several evenings. I don't subscribe to the Redlight TV package - so I don't know if this means the channels repeat a lot, or if the two "Tele locales" only own a couple of recordings!

This transponder remains much weaker (for some reason) than most of the others from Hispasat, so I do not recommend using a small dish (i.e. 70cms as the absolute minimum.)

Maybe worth looking at for somebody wondering whether to subscribe to Redlight? So far there seems to have been a bit of variety - the first film I saw had a lot of urolagnia in it as well as the more common fare!

The FTA hardcore starts at 11PM UK time - give or take a few minutes either side.

Check out LiveXXX and how they have treated their new subscribers. They started offering a subscription service with a 12 month minimum contract a couple of months ago. Then Sex Station Started up and the encrypted late show suddenly disappeared without any warning or any explanation since.

The free show on LiveXXX is still running but the encrypted paid for service has turned into a farce. You used to get a harder live show and some admittedly naff films.

Now if you turn to sky channel 146 and watch a programme called Porn Star Diaries that is all they are showing and then only for a couple of hours, rest of the night is just their logo. It would struggle to get a 15 rating.

Talk about kicking their subscribers in the teeth.

Antonia, I hate to tell you this but I am a subscriber to the Live XXX site. In the two weeks I have been a member I have suffered major access problems to large parts of the site, but I have always been able to watch the live shows.

They are HUGELY disappointing.

I have watched most nights in the last two weeks and I have not seen one single full insertion shot. I have tried all 5 of the camera angles on offer to regular subscribers, at times from 10ish through to well past midnight, and nothing remotely like penetration has been shown.

Now, maybe I'm just unlucky, or maybe to actually see anything you have to watch using the "Robocam", which you have to pay extra for, which I think is a rip off.

What's the "Premium" channel supposed to be? Output so far has been dire, seemingly all the stuff deemed not good enough to put on the other channels.

And they're still chopping the end off films, which is something I hate more than anything.

All channels in this package have a miserable picture quality, low resolution, with a lot of artefacts. Glamour sometimes only has a black & White picture.

I subscribed to sex.tv/sexplus.tv/sexgay.tv in May 2003, very good, websites always updated with channel information and quality of films excellent with repeats kept to a minimum. A breath of fresh air amongst most of the rubbish channels I’ve watched before.

I keep up to date with what’s going on in amongst the porn channels through websites and What Sat magazine. I knew that SCT had acquired .tv channels and were promoting them through their MCT package. I’d subscribed to SCT in the past and hadn’t been impressed, endless repeats and very poor quality, old, Italian films. I decided however to give it a go and subscribed!

What a change! How could SCT do that to 3 very good channels? They’ve turned 3 of the best into 11 channels of crap! No updates on any of the very good sex.tv websites anymore, but I guess if they did they’d have to list the same 2 films all day long!.

I thought I’d offer this as information to anyone that is thinking about subscribing to the MCT package! Don’t bother, buy yourself some decent DVD porn and watch it over and over again, at least you can start it where and when you want!

I must admit, it's come to something when Playboy One have even started digital fogging of the girls front bums. It's not even like they're doing open-leg stuff either. It would seem the merest glimpse of a wizard's sleeve is deemed likely to be harmful to us in some way.

But if that's the case, how come it'd be quite safe for us to view exactly the same kind of female anatomy on TV if it were shown in some arty European movie like Sex & Lucia or Beyond The Clouds?

It's all a load of utter bollox. 18 Rated material does Not Require Encryption

There is no Ofcom regulation that requires that 18 rated softcore should be encrypted during night time hours. (eg broadcast TV shows 18 rated films unencrypted). As the softcore channels are banned from showing R18 hardcore then they must be showing 18 softcore, and that can be transmitted free to air.

Playboy One on Sky is the most explicit program I have ever seen that is free to air, with full close up of female genitalia both open and closed, also on some of the programs I have seen the odd peep of erections and penetrations [although only a fleeting glance]. There was one shot last night with a naked girl with her ankles behind her head i.e. exposing everything and this was visible in relative closeup for a good few seconds.

Given that this is free to air channel with no PIN protection this is a bit daring. It is the only show I've seen on the channel that does this but it is actually harder than the worst shows on the PPV channels.

Still I appreciate the fact they are not at all scared of showing erections and male genital contact. The woman are much better looking too. They still play the same game of showing the same episode on different nights with different censorship levels. Their editors must be busy.

It would seem that the time restrictions may only apply to the French TPS feed for this channel

Private spice under some sort of new management have made a number of changes as well as the condom advert. They now broadcast three 8 hour shifts as opposed to the original four 6 hour shifts.

At last they have replaced the new (Private Spice) logo with the same but smaller and transparent...Thank goodness..... I miss the fact they no longer announce if a program is a "premier" or not and they no longer state episode numbers on their freeview listing. However the episode numbers are still available on the web site schedule...

I wish they would just show full movies instead of showing them episodically, though. The DOG logo is still too intrusive in my view, but better than it was. I will email them with some suggestions in this regard - perhaps others may wish to do the same (I would guess that the DOG change was in response to viewer feedback?)

Overall, I think that Private Spice is a very welcome improvement over Spice Platinum, which was already quite good anyway – If they could only reduce the number of repeats

Out of interest, what resolution & bitrates do other people’s receivers show on this channel – the picture quality is the best of any HC channel I have seen (although, to be fair, most of the others range from OK to dreadful!) , but it doesn’t look like full DVD quality, IMO.

Good:

• Shows uncensored HC (up to and including very occasional fisting/golden shower)
• Shows some good stuff, including HC versions of some SC shows on UK channels.
• Slicker/more professional broadcast presentation than some channels

Bad:

• FAR too many repeats.
• Seems to have a relative obsession with Girl/Girl – there have been at least three G/G weekends since I subscribed; which invariably means an excuse for even more repeats.
• Mediocre customer service – the few occasions I have contacted them, I received standardised ‘thank you for your message/suggestion – we will pass it on to the relevant person’ etc. On one occasion I didn’t even get this!
• Where are all the newer shows from UK channels e.g. One Night Stand, Agent Provocateur etc.?
• Relatively expensive, but, ultimately, value depends on whether you like the material shown.

Conclusion:

• A potentially great channel, largely unique amongst the mainland European channels, but fatally flawed because of the ridiculous number of repeats. I will wait until the R18 decision has been announced before considering whether to renew, but even it prohibition continues, I am not sure that I will bother – time will tell though.

Regarding TelevisionX/Redhot. It has not changed in well over 18 months. Same old programs. Same old censorship levels. Same fear of erections. Absolute rubbish. Yes there are a couple (of the same old) programs that are harder than the rest but it is a small minority. Why are all the guys and girls so fat,old and ugly? I think they are the laziest television channel on air. The program descriptions never match the actual content. They may say hot lesbians enjoy anal - when in fact there are no lesbians and no anal. Or "barely legal 18" when the woman are in their forties. The other thing they don't seem to do is ever edit their programs either. I've got my Red Light TV card just few weeks ago but I feel a great deception and frustration of the material offered through 4 channels which are showing 2 or 3 same movies day and the night. No amateur, no voyeurism, no home made films, nothing special, or even different of the classic bad produced films with same type of boring scenes that you see over and over!

Most movies are produced in the 90s, the colors suck and picture quality very poor and pixelated at times, specially on close ups.

Moreover, and despite the huge number of porn actors/actresses who exist and work in this industry, you keep watching the same few actors and actresses all the time on those 4 channels!this makes you have the impression that you are watching, at the same time, the same movie along the day on the 4 channels!

Their schedule tv programs on their site had not been up dated since last June.

The most frustrating is that you do not watch the movies, in most cases, in their original language of production! for example, American/French/... movies are translated in Italian to be shown on Red Light Italia, some others are translated in German to be shown on Red Light Germany etc. Redlight Mix shows nothing special as it names is supposed to mean and Red Light USA broadcasts only half a day!

Those channels are the best window from which you can throw your money, with too much regret!

The picture quality of the new 12 channel Sex View package is, most of the time, dreadful. I also really liked the previous 5plus package, but Sex View seem to have really fucked up, IMO:-

• Worse picture quality than before (not great with 5plus, but watchable)
• Much poorer content
• No guides on their website
• No gaps between movies (with varying degrees of success with regard to the ‘transition’ of one movie to the next – very amateurish)
• Movies often broadcast without opening titles/end credits
• Lots of broadcast glitches (freezing, flickering/’jerky’ pictures etc.)

A prime example of quantity over quality? :-(
