A small premises with a dark façade, possibly designed to offer maximum privacy to those going in there. There is no window display but signage over the doorway advertises that the shop sells “DVDs, toys, hen and stag party packs and lingerie”.

Getting inside requires that you press a special buzzer before being admitted. The interior is small and dark and, apart from one limited display of sex toys and party packs, the vast bulk of the shelving is occupied by DVDs.

The films that make up most of the shop’s stock are clearly of a graphic nature, complete with explicit pictures on the front

The DVDs cost between €30 and €60 and all appeared to be for sale, with no indication that they could be rented out. Nor was there any sign of the “lingerie” that was advertised for sale outside the shop, although it may have been available on request.

It has a fair selection but the dvds are outnumbered by the videos. Prices are 30 quid for vids and 35 for dvds. They have an exchange service.

Also a small selection of magazines (about £4.99) and Taschen books. Smallish selection of toys offered.

Friendly atmosphere not at all sleazy or pushy.

It is a great shop. the staff are friendly. Because it is upstairs in a normal book shop going in and out is discreet. All in all I recommend it to any one. It is well lit and bright not dark or sleazy in the slightest.

There are various lines in lingerie, PVC and rubber outfits and a range of novelty adult gifts which would be popular for hen and stag nights. As you move further into the shop the shelves stock multiple condoms and lubricants as well as sex toys.

Right at the back are the magazines and DVDs.

  News June 2007: Northern Ireland's First

Northern Ireland's first legally operated sex shop has opened on the outskirts of Belfast.

Newtownabbey Council has granted a licence for the business, which is based in a Central Park industrial estate in Mallusk.

Owner David Christie said: There were some councillors who had issue with the application. But I must applaud the council for making what is a brave decision, given all the hype and attention that has been focused around licence applications that have been made in the country.

Well lit, tidy ‘high quality’ shop.  Good range of DVDs and other stuff – very good for DVDs in fact except for the prices which are very steep compared to London - £35 for DVD, £30 for video.  Perhaps others negotiate but I decided to get the same DVDs next time I am in London for £20 each....

Good range of toys, gear and lubs for both male and females + jokey novelty stuff. Staff seem sort of young and could be off putting if looking for serious stuff. Worth a visit though, but it is near the centre of Norwich near a busy street, so not for the shy. Didn't see any  R18 videos or DVD's. Bit of an Ann Summers sort of shop and not at all seedy. Worth a visit if in Norwich.
