2. At the revenge shooting at the burger stand: The UK video shows a victim staggering away from Caine & O'Dog whose friend offers help but in fact shoots him. 2 further shots are heard as the scene cuts away. The original version clearly shows all 3 shots with chunks of the victims back being shot out.
3. When Caine's dad shoots one of his gambling buddies, there are trims applied to the entrance and exit wounds of the many gunshots fired.
4. In the final showdown Sharif's death by gunshots was trimmed, and 2 gunshot wounds were also trimmed from Caine's death.

Summary Review: Very Unique

A beautiful young artist must choose her destiny in this hauntingly sensual tale of love, passion and revenge. Sherilyn Fenn returns to the family castle in Italy after her father s death and gets caught up in a mysterious love triangle: a man/beast and a creature of the night.

The special effects were impressive and the story was romantic and passionate. This isn't your typical horror flick, and it's very unique.

Summary Review: Strong thriller

A strong thriller directed by Dennis Dimster-Denk. Brain Bonsall is extraordinary good as the young smart psycho.

The film received some controversy, because of Mikey's age in the film, when it's came out in the Spring of 1992.

Mirrors is a supernatural horror film based on a Korean film, Into the Mirror , about a man who discovers that mirrors create a dangerous alternate reality after he takes on a security job in a burnt out department store. The work was passed '18' for strong bloody violence and horror. A reduced version of the film had previously been passed '15' for cinema release.

Like many supernatural horror films, the story involves sustained personalised threat. In this case the threat is not only centred upon the lead male character but also his family, including his children. In particular, towards the end of the film, one child is shown to nearly drown and the other has her throat cut slightly by an evil mirror image of her mother, before being rescued by her real mother.

The film features two notably gory and bloody moments: a character slowly cuts his own neck with a shard of glass, causing a substantial blood spurt onto a mirror and an' evil mirror image' forces a woman to pull apart her own jaws, bisecting her face and partially removing her lower jaw, accompanied by copious blood splatter, terrorisation and pain. Despite the well established supernatural fantasy setting, these scenes exceed the upper level of the '15' category for which the BBFC's Guidelines state 'strong threat and menace are permitted. The strongest gory images are unlikely to be acceptable' and 'violence may be strong but may not dwell on the infliction of pain or injury'.

This film was originally shown to the BBFC for advice. The BBFC advised the company that the film was likely to receive an '18' classification but that the requested '15' could be achieved by making some reductions throughout the film.

In particular, the BBFC suggested:

1. that the bloody spray in the slashing open of a throat in the opening sequence should be removed
2. that focus on a badly burned partially naked woman, crying out in pain, should be reduced or removed
3. that the protracted bloody detail when a woman's jaw is ripped apart be reduced
4. that, after scissors have been pressed against the neck of a young girl, the sight of scissors being drawn across the neck causing a larger bloody wound be removed.

When the finished version of the film was submitted, edits had been made, reducing the strength of the stronger moments sufficiently for the content in the film to be allowable under BBFC Guidelines at '15'.

With these cuts made an R18 was available to the distributor. Distributor chose to cut explicit sexual detail in consensual sex scenes in order to achieve an 18.

The video versions have been uncut from 1987. The latest submission in 2004 was listed as re-edited but these are uncontentious changes

• Remove impact shot where Lee throws a spike into man's forehead.
• Reduce the sequence where Tom cuts Lee's throat, in particular removing the blood trickle from the mouth.

Summary Review: Terrible

The wife of a famous anthropologist is rushed to hospital in labor. At the same time, druggies raid the hospital looking for drugs, causing the baby to be stillborn. While recovering from the trauma, she learns that her husband has disappeared in Africa. She launches an expedition to find him, and discovers a bizarre world of sexy jungle women!

I felt it would have been a worthy investment to sit through the terrible opening of the film, with its terrible story line and its terrible acting, just to get to see Jenny Neumann have sex with an Ape Man. I never got to see it because it never happened. I don't know what version you guys watched but I sat through a 90 minute badly lighted movie with hopes to see 30 seconds of a nudity. Was it worth it? No

The BBFC explained their 12A rating:

Mitti is a Punjabi language drama about two rival tribes in a village fighting for dominance. The film was classified 12A for moderate violence.

The moderate violence includes the depiction of gun shootings and hand-to-hand fight scenes, including kicks and punches. The violence is realistic and occasionally threatening, but never focuses on strong detail of injury. The Guidelines for violence at 12A allow for depictions of violence where there is no emphasis on injuries or blood .

The film also contains infrequent mild language (eg bloody').
