Summary Review: Bizarre

An erotic story of a girl who gets sent to a school where a dangerous criminal lives and rapes the girls after playing little dress up games.

If you're looking for a simple spanking flick, you're going to be disappointed by the plot and all the digressions. But if you're more of a polymorphous pervert, this has straight sex scenes, lots of lesbianism, and interesting shower scenes where gaggles of naked girls climb en masse in and out of a single tub while their fellow students or the elderly caretakers pours water (or milk?!) on them.

There's a tasteless scene where a girl is made to strip and act like a dog, but it's mostly tasteless because she's a Jewish girl whose parents have disappeared without paying her tuition, leaving her to be singled out for extra abuse.

There's also a downright bizarre chariot-racing scene with some of the girls having to be the horses complete with whips and bridles.

Worth the money.

Infamous exploitation movie supposedly mixing hardcore, bestiality and a bizarre subplot about the making of torture and snuff movies.

Joe D Amato had this to say about those scenes...we shot the 'snuff' scenes in 35mm. Afterwards we scratched the negative and we printed it as 8mm, then blew it up to give it the illusion of reality... I don't know people think it is real, it's just some bullshit.. it's only a movie, you know?

Joe D'Amato was asked how the rumor about the snuff footage being "real" got started and he had this to say:...we shot that footage in a warehouse with a lot of "extras" (actors). One of the girls in the scene wanted to make more money then she was making as an extra, so she filed a lawsuit saying that she was really abused during the filming....

Needless to say that with an entire film crew as witness to the fake acting, she lost the case. However, the rumour managed to circulate as truth.

Summary Review: Brutal Nights

Joe D'Amatos Emanuelle in America is one of the most notorious Italian sleaze epics ever. The story is about journalist Laura Gemser seeking out sensational news. She encounters a woman who loves horses, stays with a couple in Venice who hold big orgies, a hotel where old women pay for the services of willing men and a senator who likes snuff movies.

Director D'Amato leaves nothing to the imagination with some hardcore sex (mostly softcore), very disturbing snuff gore footage of women being tortured and the most famous scene a woman getting intimate with a horse!. If you like extreme sleaze cinema this film is a must see.

• Company chose to make cuts to four sequences to remove sight of unsimulated sexual detail (fellatio, vaginal penetration, masturbation, ejaculation) in order to obtain an 18 classification. An R18 classification without these cuts would have been available.

• In addition, company was required to make compulsory cuts to a scene of bestiality (unsimulated sight of a naked woman masturbating a horse), in accordance with the current interpretation of the Obscene Publications Act 1959. (Hopefully not caught by the Dangerous Pictures Act which prohibits only oral sex and intercourse with animals)

• Company was also required to make compulsory cuts to four sequences of sadistic and sexual violence (naked women being humiliated, tortured, raped, branded, strangled, mutilated, and being violently penetrated with spiked objects, poles and metal hooks).
