Soldier Blue is a 1970 USA western by Ralph Nelson. Starring Candice Bergen, Peter Strauss and Donald Pleasence.
Reportedly cut in the US for an MPAA rating in 1970. These cuts have long since been forgotten and the R rated version is the best available. The film was cut for
an MPAA PG rating in 1974 but the R rating was restored in 1976. The R rated version was cut by the BBFC for X rated cinema release and 18 rated VHS. The BBFC cuts for sexual violence were waived in 2004 for 18 rated DVD releases but new cuts were
required for horse falls. In 2024 further BBFC cuts were required for previously unnoticed indecent images of a child. Summary Notes After a cavalry group is massacred by the
Cheyenne, only two survivors remain: Honus, a naive private devoted to his duty, and Cresta, a young woman who had lived with the Cheyenne two years and whose sympathies lie more with them than with the US government. Together, they must try to reach the
cavalry's main base camp. As they travel onward, Honus is torn between his growing affection for Cresta, and his disgust for her anti-American beliefs. They reach the cavalry campsite on the eve of an attack on a Cheyenne village, where Honus will learn
which side has really been telling him the truth.
Versions
Promotional Material Controversial upon its release, Ralph Nelson's Soldier Blue follows Honus (Peter Strauss) and Cresta (Candice Bergen), the only remaining survivors of a Cheyenne Native American
attack, as they travel across the unforgiving wilderness of the American frontier in search of refuge. Their journey reaches a tragic climax as they witness the brutal and cold-blooded slaughter of the Cheyenne tribe at the hands of the U.S. army.
Reflecting the political climate of the time, Soldier Blue is uncompromising in its anti-war stance and in its extremely graphic depiction of the 1864 Sand Creek Massacre. By shedding light on America's dark history and the inhumane actions of the U.S.
army, this revisionist western is one of the most radical films in American cinema's history. EXTRAS: NEW Interview with actress Candice Bergen, Audio commentary by film critic Steve Mitchell and Howard S. Berger, NEW Trailer

2024
Promotional Material Sam Peckinpah's cycle of genre-redefining westerns came to a close with this blood- and dust-caked elegy for the American West, which marries his renegade style with a fatalistic
sense of finality. As newly minted lawman Pat Garrett (James Coburn) stalks the outlaw Billy the Kid (Kris Kristofferson) across the plains, their old friendship is twisted into rivalry, and mythic ideals of freedom come up against an emerging
ruling-class order--all to the strains of a haunting soundtrack by Bob Dylan (who also appears as the mercurial Alias). Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid --presented here for the first time in three separate
versions--stands as perhaps the maverick auteur's richest, most mature work, a world-weary ballad that bears the solemn weight of history passing into legend.

The Case Of The Bloody Iris: is a 1972 Italy crime horror by
Giuliano Carnimeo Starring Edwige Fenech, George Hilton and Paola Quattrini
Cut by the BBFC for 18 rated cinema release in 1973. Uncut and 18 rated on DVD.
Summary Notes Having recently escaped the clutches of a hippie sex cult, a beautiful model is pursued by a serial killer whose previous victims include former occupants of her new
apartment. US: Uncut and MPAA Unrated for:
Promotional Material From a script by the master architect of giallo, Ernesto Gastaldi (THE STRANGE VICE OF MRS. WARDH, ALL THE COLORS OF THE DARK, DEATH WALKS ON HIGH HEELS), comes genre director
Giuliano Carnimeo's sexually-charged giallo debut (credited as Anthony Ascott), presented here, for the first time, in 4K ultra-high definition. The gruesome murders of two young women send a shockwave of fear through the tenants of a high-rise
apartment building. For photo models Jennifer and Marylin, it presents a welcome opportunity to move in together in one of the emptied flats. But the aura of terror catches up with everyone and soon, Jennifer feels like prey, stalked and targeted by the
gloved killer. As her paranoia grows, Jennifer suspects everyone--her fanatic ex-husband, her spinster neighbor, the lesbian from down the hall, and even her boyfriend. But she is determined to stay one step ahead of the depraved killer! Starring
giallo's ultimate scream queen, Edwige Fenech (STRIP NUDE FOR YOUR KILLER, HOSTEL: PART II), alongside George Hilton (THE STRANGE VICE OF MRS. WARDH, THE CASE OF THE SCORPION'S TAIL) in their third collaboration together, "The Case of the Bloody
Iris" is "pure giallo fun" (Mondo Digital). With its beautiful cinematography masterfully contrasted by its brutal violence, the film is every bit as exploitative and blood-spattered as it is sultry and salacious, turning it into "a
luxuriant banquet of sumptuous visuals, sinister chills, and otherworldly beauty" (Deadshed). Celluloid Dreams is proud to present this newly scanned version, restored in 4K from the original camera negatives. It is the version of "The Case of
the Bloody Iris" you've been dying to see. SPECIAL FEATURES:
