This is a fun site with a diversity of products supplemented by news and
features that give a good feel for the world of amateur sex. It was
interesting to read about the fitting out a sex shop in Derby only for it to
be mysteriously targeted for ram raiding. It shows some of things that sex
oriented businesses are up against.The shop itself unsurprisingly
specialises in hardcore amateur DVDs and more recently in the Internet
download of DivX versions of the same films. All Amateurs DVD are both
production company and online shop. The range is not limited to their own
titles and amateur DVDs are available from Europe and the US.
There is useful description of films for download along with plenty of
good quality pictures from the film to give an accurate preview of content.
The mail order purchase of the hardcore DVDs is limited to addresses
outside of the UK but the same films can be downloaded perfectly legally by
anyone in the UK. Beware that the DVD cover pictures in the mail order area are
implemented via pop-ups. I was struggling to think why I couldn't view them
only to realise that it was down to my pop up blocker. (Which most people
surely turn on these days).
Of course it is perfectly OK for people in the UK to buy the DVDs from
licensed sex shops and the site helpfully features a list of stockists.
It is excellent to see that the company have decided that downloads
should be for permanent viewing and are not hobbled by the control freakery
of Digital Rights Management (DRM).
The prices are very
reasonable too.
There is also a section for the sale of sex toys, sexy clothing and
contact magazines.
All Amateur DVD also offer High Definition films.
Having no facilities yet to try this out, here is part of the
explanation of the technology on the website. The example stills are
very impressive indeed.
