Nutter MPs Playing Games

Dear Melon Farmers,

Whilst nutter MPs like Keith Vaz, David Cameron and Michael Foster may get John Beyer's vote the prospect of politicians dictating what video games should be available leaves me very worried indeed.

Whilst blaming violent games and rap music for crime and anti social behaviour may win approval in newspapers like the Daily Mail most of the right thinking population know that scape-goating never solves anything.

Knee jerk reactionism does not stop crime or violence and banning video games even before they've hit the shelves is needless censorship which result in zero results.

Let's hope any MP that tries to push through infringements on our freedoms faces as much opposition as possible from libertarians.

Perhaps a campaign should be started by video game fans before these self righteous nutter MPs who have no idea what they are talking about get control over their gaming.

Fuck of the Month Fucked

Just to let you know what some friends and I have found out much to our disgust.

We had a gathering and after chatting about a website called Celebrity Morgue we checked out Rotten as we are all pretty warped in humour and have an insatiable morbid curiosity.

I said why don't we take a look at 'fuck of the month club', which is where people send in rude and bizarre pictures of an 'adult' nature. Some are hilarious, some of the 'ouch' variety but none as far as I recall featured kids or animals.

We couldn't believe our eyes, the section has been closed down due to obscenity and the fact that they have not kept records of the ''performers'' since 1990 therefore it is banned.

I feel it is sick, degrading and dehumanising that we cannot be responsible for what we want to see. This bible bashing stance of murderer Bush has gone too far. This is morally despicable and a rape of freedom of expression. What the bloody hells' going on, we are going backwards not forwards just to appease those social deviants and perverts that use the internet as a 'scapegoat' for there twisted behaviour .

Society has yet again sunk low enough to scrape the barrel for excuses to pass the blame on media, why should I be prevented, of a reasonably sound mind, from seeing imagery just because of the twisted minority we live amongst.

To act as our moral guardians when the English and American government have more blood on their hands than a busy abatoir is totally beyond me.

To hide behind the mask of religion is also abhorrent as it presents it as almost puritanical, that is why societies are turning against it and why, despite some of the brainwashed 'hick' communities of the deep south, churches are becoming empty buildings. To each their own, I agree, as long as the strong beliefs stay with the individual and do not pervert and 'contaminate' my life with dogmatic hypochrisy.

I just cannot believe it - totally unjust and out of order.
